It's not often (or ever, really) that I get to sit front row at fashion shows. Thanks to Viss, I was right up close to the catwalk in their fashion presentation this Friday. It was really neat how they had a media section and all - perks of being a blogger. This show was a collaboration between several Hong Kong bloggers, the fashion app Viss and Faszion.com, an online store.
What I saw last night was a lot of geometric construction and digital prints, juxtaposed with some edgy florals. There were also some very fun headpieces. Think Lady Gaga, but also Kate Middleton. It was also a nice surprise to see a some runway references in the hair and makeup. The slicked back tops and tousled ends are reminiscent of Alberta Ferretti and Giambattista Valli looks in their respective SS 2013 collections. And the brightly tinted lashes reminded me so much of the makeup in the Donna Karan show. All in all, it was a very futuristic take on the upcoming season, and now I'm excited for spring.
